Case Study: City Concept — Tower Study
Brief · idea · process.
01 · The brief
A self-directed drawing exercise: design an original skyscraper and present it from a worm’s-eye view — the hardest angle to keep convincing — while leaving the construction visible.

02 · The idea
The drawing is about looking up. Three-point perspective drags every line toward a focal point above the tower’s crown (annotated right on the page), so the building seems to accelerate as it climbs. A second, glassier tower sits low in the frame with a marked reflection study — a quiet companion that makes the hero tower feel taller by comparison.
03 · Process & outcome
Perspective guides, the focal-point arrow, and the “reflection” note were deliberately left in the final piece: the construction is the artwork. The page documents how the illusion is built — vanishing lines, hatched glazing, gestural tree masses at street level for scale. Next step: a digital paint-over translating this study into a finished environment piece.
